About Nordic Folk
This is nordicfolk.com, the global meeting point for nordic folk music.
Nordicfolk.com is a site dedicated to music from all the north of Europe and the culture surrounding it. This site is newly started but the plans are big. The nordic folk music scene is fantastic and I want it to grow. I am aiming to spread nordic folk music globally with nordicfolk.com as the base.
The site now contains a blog, or a web newspaper if you like, and also a forum where the discussion is free about anything regarding nordic folk music. There are also future plans for distributing nordic folk music via this site.
This is the beginning of something big for nordic folk music - at least I hope so! If you are interested in being a part of this project - please contact me!

I have been producing an internet radio show for over a year & a partner in 2 internet radio stations (Live365) I would like to connect with musucians to play their music on my show.I found this site through links from “Song of the Lakes” music group.
I enjoy playing Irish music & folk music, but had never seen “nordic folk” as a classification. I’d like to hear & learn more.
Go to http://www.MellowMelodies.com and click on the “DJ in the box” The show will download then. Hope to hear back from you soon… Thanks

I’m from Russia and I came across this site because my boyfriend plays the swedish folk music. He plays the nickelharpa and I was trying to find any information
a)if it is possible to study anywhere in Sweden
b) to find as much folk tunes as possible.
But I don’t know swedish! And he speaks even too little english…
If anybody can help with notes/information
I would be happy!!!
